Phil Clarke should not be placed in the same bracket as Eddie and Stevo. After the Warrington game it was him who stuck up for Leeds in the face of their inane ramblings about how Leeds were lucky.



Strangely enough in the same game scenario the night before Saints were super Saints for doing the same as Leeds had.

He also spouted on how Jamie Peacock was Leeds best signing (which may well be true), but qualified it by saying how Peacock had turned Leeds from "also rans" into Champions. I guess he's blanked 2004 as a fluke then.

I thought St Helens defensive game was top notch V Huddersfield, who helped by being pretty shocking ball in hand. The Saints attack wasn't that hot but I don't think any of the eight teams that took part in the play offs would say much different. Leeds included.



Huddersfield's decision to leave Moore out really was brave in the circumstances but it affected their A game a great deal. Robinson was wasted at acting half for most of the game waving his arms at the referee.
