They were crap live anyway, Brown's voice was awful IIRC. Hope he's had some singing lessons if they're coming back.



If they do reform I hope they lay off the John Squire guitar w@nkfests from the Second Coming.

Don't get me wrong I like the albums "The Stone Roses" and "The Complete Stone Roses" but IMO they weren't anywhere near that standard live due to Brown's voice.

For those of us of more discerning taste we get joy from listening to singers who can actually sing.



Some bands whilst very good on a recording are gash live.

Oh another reunion.





Brown and Squire must be definitley skint now. Lets face it they've managed a couple of records in 20 years, then churned out Greatest Hits and Remix records. I was never bothered about them. And this reunion is not appealing whatsoever. I expect a dull record, full of the cut-offs from the aforementioned solo careers. I also think it will be as relevant and as successful as the Sex Pistols 'come-back'. The Roses had a famous and succesful Second Coming, I can't see them having a Third.

I don't think they will be doing any new material. Just cash in on what they've done and leave it there.



Remember the original line up have never played anything from the Second Coming live together.

I don't like rock/indie music but the first Roses album was classic - possibly the finest album of its genre.



As in most bands it is the rhythm section ie mani/reni that make that band - reni is the most underrated drummer of his generation - the Roses makes the bands Loz and his mates listen too seem what they are vacous non entities.

Cracking band, never got to see them live so would definitely go see them.



My sister went to Sheffield last summer to see Ian Brown and he did 2.5 songs fell off stage and spent the rest of the night in A&E.
