Heard today from a guy (who has some involvement) down't Lane that there has been a bit of a fracas between Mr. McGoldrick & Mr. Matterson at training late last week, which very nearly came to blows! (wasn't told the in's & outs, or the outcome).

Don't shoot the messenger, I know only too well how these crappy rumours start and spread, but just wondered if anybody else has heard anything?

The other week I was talking to a guy and his wife down the lane, about McGoldrick. This guy knew him well and is a close friend and neighbour of Ryans. When I told him that I thought Ryan was a nice guy off the pitch, but I wouldn't pay him in washers for what he brings on the pitch, this guy was very quick to defend Ryan, by saying 'you've no idea what he has done for this club!' So I asked him to enlighten me, because on the pitch some interpret his play as natural flair, yet to me he looks like a liability.



He went on to say that a few years ago Ryan, plus 4 other players loaned the club some money to keep the club afloat. The other 4 players (un-named) have been repaid, yet Ryan hasn't, yet. The figure he was talking about as being still owed to Ryan was £300K, and Ryan is becoming increasingly p'd off with how the club have repaid the others yet are making little effort to repay him. After telling me this, the guys wife let rip on him saying that they had both been sworn to secrecy on this. The venom that she vented on her husband gave me do doubt that this hadn't been fabricated.



So I said, that would explain why we've still got him as we are in a ituation of no choice. Credit to Ryan if he has done this, and it would also explain how the club overlook some of his antics at times.

I was talking to someone (who I can't name but trust me, they're In The Know) that said we're signing Lockyer and Sonny Bill Williams, starting building work at Glasshoughton next week - but we'll be paying for it all in Icelandic krónur because we haven't got any real money, but we'll get away with it by keeping it quiet.

Goldie is pretty wealthy, from a really well off family back in Australia, own a shed load of land or something along them lines.

So you thought you'd come and publicise such "rumour" on a forum?



If the club was struggling that badly it makes you wonder how the hell we managed to scrape together to pay for planning permission.

If I didn't pay my bills or debts, there's a lot of things I could pay for aswell!





A quick note.....it was his wife, not me, who was sworn to secrecy.
