I don't reckon much to Jonathan Thurstons career, he's never proved himself in the championship, so I reckon getting him across for a stint, leave his boots in the centre of the pitch, plus Jarrod Hayne, then lets get AOB in. That should do it.



I'm not sure we can get anyone in, without getting rid of some more first. It's going to have to be prospects, almost unknowns who want to make a name for themselves, that's our ship at the minute.



We need to focus on winning every game were in, and see where we end up, if were in the shield we need to blood the reserves even more, so far they have been a positive, even if we lost the best one last year.

Any boys in the reserves who could do a job in 1sts given the opportunity

We need to be looking for a halfback. Cant really see why we let G Moore go who by all reports played a blinder for Dewsbury. We already have two hookers on the books so see no point in having a third. Good centres are hard to come by and no point in panic buying. We have 2 decent wingers in my opinion. The simple truth is most players are under contract and is there anyone available?

Whats happening with Alex Mammone.is he injured

He was, facial injury, fracture cheek bone I think and I have seen him at the reserve games.

At the risk of being negative but being brutally honest.

He just looked like a big lump to me that offered little and will be part of our small squad getting smaller when he moves on.

Quite the most astonishing decision i've known at the club in recent years.We'd just negotiated a 5% wage reduction for the squad,then bring in an aussie on whatever contract who is no better than the reserves.

Especially when you consider that we could probably have gone to Salford and taken Murray in front of the bulls for most of the season. Sad as it is RM's record with signings is not the best with the bad far outweighing the good.

Possibly Richard Marshall's worst signing for Halifax. To me looked like a panic buy.

I often wonder which players are Marshall signings and which are deals made above his head due to particular people having relationships with agents. Think Mammone was definitely the latter.

All signings are Richards, the only player purchased without his consent was Salty as the club didn't have a coach at the time. That deal was completed by Ian Croad and Michael Steele.

Still a chance Tangata will stay apparently. Heaton to Fev is a strange one but if JWH can keep working and improving then we will be ok there.

Agree his agent touting him to s/l doesn't mean he'll get a contract and don't think he'd leave us for championship club.JWH will be a stand off IMO.
