Just a quick aside from all the FANTASTIC stuff going on at the club for which we are all deliriously happy and grateful, a few of us were discussing the old chestnut of tapping up local talent.



Naturally it has been very hard to stave off approaches from the usual, Giants, Bulls and even Warringtons however now that we are on an upward curve, will efforts be made to (dare I say it) repair the links and relationships with the likes of Siddal whom a few of which I know have no love for Fax despite it being there home town?



We really do need to identify and nuture the next Saltenstall, Fairbank O'Brien and tempt them to turning out in blue.

As the board has stated in another thread Fax are going to use some of the monies from this season to set up and accadamy team

Yes, under 14's won the national cup, a great achievement, the only problem is that I believe about 9 of them have now been signed up by SL clubs so what chance do we have?

Yes but we need to make Fax their first choice. Doesn't mean they will automatically choose us.

Nice thought, but from my experience too many people hold grudges from years back, when the previous board of directors have let young players down, and people just won,t put that to one side .

Glad you understand mate but surely this can be repaired? If anyone can do it RM can ably assisted by great local lads like Luke Ambler - it is a must in my opinion. Somehow...
