| I dont know were the idea that springer is a bad apple in the squad as come from if somebody on here is in the know then far enough you know more than me about what as gone on behind the scenes. But reading the comments from ian croad and simon grix there is no insinuation of springer having a bad attitude. From what i have been told grix was not happy with gadwins defence and he was being stubborn about the changes grix wanted him to make to that area of is game they came to a impasse on this and that was why the decision was made for him to leave.

This is exactly what I was told... Simon wasn't happy with Gadwin's work around the ruck/defence. And in fairness if you watch the highlights of when Gadwin played you can't really argue with it. I agree he was exciting going forward but did that offset the drawbacks... Suppose thats down to peoples opinions. But more importantly the only opinion that matters is the head coaches. He was our 'Marquee' signing so it will free some money up. Only concern is that there's no one available to sign in his replacement.

Hopefully Grix has learnt a lesson in that respect because he could probably have watched any of Springer's games for his previous clubs and come to the conclusion he wasn't the best in defence.

Maybe he believed he was able to coach him to become a better player in this aspect. Then again was it Simon's decision to sign Springer?
Ultimately as a fan I was excited when we signed Springer but i've not been blown away by his performances. We move on.

This is what I meant by 'Bad Apple'. Challenging authority is always tricky (especially if you're right!), and someone challenging the coach and openly disagreeing with him will affect the attitude within the team.

| What a load of bollx. In last six games he featured we shipped an average of around 6 points a game-fantastic...
What ******* difference did it make ? I'd rather he saved his energy for going forward,we have plenty of others who only have defense in their lockers anyway....

This. I thought against Haven we badly missed him and Borough and the quick play the balls we got on the back of Springer.

| Around quick play the balls the two players in the team with the quickest are Greg Worthington and Elliot Morris… I’ve heard some poor assessments of Greg because he’s not scored. Just keep an eye on him this week: wins the ruck the majority of the time, teams generally don't score down that edge and his quick play the balls… one of the best players we have, my opinion! Up the Panthers

| Worthington has been one of our outstanding performers imho. Defends superbly, always makes ground after contact and as said does a fast play the ball. Big boots to step into but not let us down at all. One of the top centres in the Championship.

| Ive not heard anyone say anything bad about Worthington to be honest. Unfortunatley for him given the style of rugby we play he's never going to get a load of tries as Grix as a modern coach is trying to attack defenders left shoulders which is why our right edge sees so much ball. The flip side is most opposition are doing the same and they won't get much change out of Worthington.
