Correct. My neighbour goes clay shooting, and until he got himself a safe cabinet installed he had to keep his gun at his stepfather's house some 55 miles away. |

Gun cabinets should not be easily accessible i.e. in the attic/cellar and should be firmly secured to the wall and have good locks on them. Stops you picking up the gun in a moment of anger/panic. Also need a medical cert that you are of sound mind. You also need to get permission to buy the gun first from the police, which should include a valid reason for ownership e.g. pest control/sport. Generally the Police don't take kindly to individuals trying to build up their own nal.
