I think the only argument you could have is that Doro is hard to replace (Michael is no doubt a good player, but not at the same standard of Doro) and Meadows doesn't really replace McGowan, but certainly adds depth and quality to the halves.

That back line does have an air of 2003 about it!

I’m optimistic that once he’s fully fit Bayliss Brow could fill Doro’s shoes. Fitness is key for Nathan Mason too, he looked really good when he was on his loan spell with us in 2023 but has looked well short of fitness when he re-joined in 2024. He needs a big pre-season. Meadows has apparently played a bit of fullback so could cover for Holmes there if needed. Think the signing of Donaldson is v important. We miss the leadership of the likes of Lawrence and Smith sometimes and with them missing a few games with injury we needed to address that. Donaldson is a leader and pretty durable so should be a lynchpin in the side. His display at Fax in 2023 was really good when he was the best forward on the field.

Mason Corbett signed. Leeds Academy hooker. Let go by Leeds at the end of the season.
