It's ok saying we fluffed chance after chance in first half and all this stuff but the truth is we were in grave danger of losing the game, and that's a fact! We will have to be much better in final.

Oh give over! It's a semi final, it should be close! We won by 2 scores!

Positives
We won

Negatives
Ball control
Moore didn’t keep them apart
5 946 is disappointing and I know some games lack intensity but this was a semifinal

York gave us a really good challenge and we found a way to win.

I thought we played with a lot more speed when moving the ball but each time someone fluffed their lines. It gave York a lot of the ball.
I thought our defense stood up well consider the amount of pressure we were under, though I couldn't see who let them through for the break on the right. Seemed pretty soft.

There was a period in the second half where they had 3 sets through drop outs and then we gave the ball up twice in our quarter. It seemed forever before we got the ball in a good position.
I also felt they rattled Doyle as well when they got away with nutting him.
It turned when Hood came back on and seemed to calm things down.

It will probably do us good to have a tough game so we are better prepared for the next game. We could have easily panicked but we kept our nerve.

Griffin unlikely to play so someone has to come in. Probably Boothroyd.

Not sure whether I'd play Trueman.
Lino did some good things but also went missing too though that reflects us not having enough ball.

You could tell Gale and Lino hadn’t played together much this season.

The game plan to take Max out was executed well and it stifled a lot of our plays. Mash clearly saw that was their best chance.

Boothroyd was limping badly. Will be Vagana or maybe Pitts (with Cozza coming to 13). But we do have good options.

Thought our completion was poor and we invited York to our line far too much.

Top six 2005 - Trinity.

In a semi final I think you should get your retaliation in first, and give the opposition something to think about. That is what they did to us (especially Max) and it effected our play for most of the first half, they were on the front foot without making the yardage that we were producing. They did not wait for the ref to pull them. While on about the ref I did think that he let the game run without interference in the first 40 and then started making a few strange calls in the second. However he should have clamped down straight away on the head shots, a lot of them went unpunished.
One last thing about today , was why did`nt we recognise the passing of Brian Lockwood. One of the Rugby League greats.

isn't it funny how a bit of success breeds contempt?

in the past 12 months we got a new owner... a new coaching set up... massive investment in club... team and stadium... we got to go to Wembley... we won two available trophies and are in the final with a home advantage for a third. We even have a player who is just 3 points away from a new world record for individual points scored in a season.

seems we are so ingrained with being disappointed and grumpy.. we forgot how to have fun...

live in the moment guys ...

enjoy the experience ...

I think we got the RL equivalent of a winning lottery ticket when the Ellis family took over... and after 50 plus years with so few highlights, I'll take it whilst it's here!...

all I see is silver lining... and any small clouds are inconsequential.

Lino did fall off one tackle but actually stopped the opposition player who then broke the line at a different point which led to a try at the next play the ball. I did not see him miss any other tackles that directly led to York scores.

Therein lies the problem, it's all gone "too well" this season and even with a bit of a scare yesterday, it still is.
A grand final at Fortress Belle Vue is all we could have wanted, roll on Saturday !

Absolutely spook, some of the rubbish on Facebook, makes you wonder what they really want, yesterday we played a very committed side, who played very close to the limit, (pity Mash couldn't do the same last year),and still won by 2 clear scores.
We are in the Final just enjoy it.
