Yep, full wages have to be on the cap, unless you took either Raoana or Asista off and put him on, but you have to have one non fed marquee player.

Hastings is on 400k at Newcastle, so for the first year, I'd expect Newcastle to contribute to his salary. Hull is miles cheaper than living in Newcastle, so I'd expect he would take a pay cut for a multi year deal. It won't happen anyway

This gives me a bad feeling that Johnny Davidson was right about Drinkwater being a target after all..

That's what I was thinking as well.
I would have sooner kept Trueman and hoped he would stay fit.

Newcastle are paying towards his wages for the remainder of his contract. Pretty sure you can swap your marquee players on and off the cap so may mean taking one currently off and Hastings on.

The more i think about it, the more this sounds realistic... Hastings become known as being available after the Sezer deal was "agreed", hes injured at the moment too so maybe hes chose to retire and the deals been agreed to not go ahead? Which in turn has opened the door for Hastings?
If we could land a real X Factor half like that then id be over the moon, or Jayden Sullivan who's more of an illusive runner of the ball
