Win and we keep pace for second spot with winnable games coming up. Lose and with the likes of Widnes, Featherstone not looking like losing at the moment, we could suddenly find ourselves 4th, level on points with 5th Fev.
This is one of our harder fixtures though, I think we'll beat a game, but average quality Batley side at home. Fax will be tough and they'll love it if they beat us, but with them safe looks like they'll be less desperate and then Swinton at home, who whilst will be fighting for their lives, we should have enough quality to see us through. That means Toulouse won't be able to slip up and they have a tough away game at Widnes to come. Make or break is this game.

We've got a fit squad as well. Assuming we go for the standard 2 props, 1 hooker, 1 second row on the bench - we'll need 5 props. Lawrence, Pele, Doro are all certain. We need 2 from Scurr, Smith, Bayliss, Makin (loan). I would prefer not picking the loan player if possible, but he has been playing well. My own choice would be Scurr and Bayliss. Appo, Fulton, Davies for 2nd row. Thats some set of forwards.
Couldn't make the Dewsbury game, but watching on Bulls tv, there was some nice tries. The Eagles are a significant step up in class and we need to be focused for the full 80. We've certainly got the players to get one over Sheffield and I feel a win here really sets us up for the final run in...... Lose and we are in a dog fight for a preferable play off spot (although our points difference is certainty looking good at the minute). Really looking forward to the game and glad i just bought my tickets as the seat options look like selling out soon. COYB.

We are likely going to look back at some results this year and wonder what might have been.
Obviously the best we can do now is go 4 from 4 now which we know would guarantee 3rd. I genuinely think we could potentially lose any of those 4 games though, especially if Swinton are still fighting for their survival. The big banana skin tie is Fax at The Shay now. They will likely beat Dewsbury this weekend and that should see them safe, a win against Bradford and the horror 2024 season would be almost forgotten about.
Regarding this week, we faced a York side earlier in the season coming off a bad run of results and we lost that one. Let's hope the players don't go into the game believing the wheels have completely fallen off at Sheffield
Big win on the road today against a tough team that we've historically struggled with! After a bit of a patchy mid-season run, it feels like we’re hitting our stride just in time for the business end of the season. We've pretty much locked in 3rd place with three very winnable games to go before the playoffs.
We faced some serious pressure late in the game, but the boys dug deep and defended brilliantly when it mattered most. After holding firm, we managed to put the game to bed with two fantastic late tries from Jorge Taufua. A real team effort to seal the win—great to see that kind of resilience and finishing touch.

Let’s keep the momentum going!
Great result. Sheffield always tough to play at Does this result guarantee playoffs? Or as good as York have Sheffield and Featherstone to play Sheffield have Featherstone and York
If my maths is correct, one more win should confirm our playoff place. We are 3 points ahead of Widnes in 4th place and 4 points ahead of York, Sheffield and Fev. We could still snatch 2nd place from Toulouse if some of these fixtures go our way.
Really enjoyed that game. A lot of grit in defence and we ensured that we didn't repeat past mistakes where we've let teams back into the game. The other results around us are a bonus. Looking at Toulouse's fixtures, i think we may be relying on Widnes to get one over them to give us a chance of second place. (Although with the mix of results this year, who knows what will happen).
