we still look like a really poorly coached team. We can't even do the basics of the game well

Yet another dispiriting afternoon in what is now feeling like the never ending season.

I was uneasy about our prospects all week and right from the kick-off it became painfully obvious it was going to be another horror show from us.

Above all our usual failings, which we have witnessed every week so far this year, there seemed to me to be a complete lack of self-belief in their chances of coming away with a win. It was almost as if they expected to lose, which is staggering when playing a team without a win and fighting against the tide every week.

I wonder if the cumulative effect of this horror season has knocked out what little confidence they had to begin with and they are now resigned to defeat even before they step out onto the field. Their body language throughout was diabolical with not an ounce of self-belief visible.

They look like a group of people who desperately wished they could be somewhere else, including Myler. Nearly all of them seemed to be hiding, hoping that someone else would do something, anything, to rescue them. When you have 17 players all largely displaying that attitude there is only going to be one result, and so it proved. There wasn't an ounce of leadership out there yesterday.

It's difficult to see where a win will come from next. Even the remaining games against Cas and London look fraught with difficulty, while every other team will be licking their lips at the chance to fill their boots when we roll into town! We all know we are in an almighty hole of our own making, but that hole became deeper and steeper with that abject performance yesterday.

Have no idea where we go to or who we turn to next. I would normally expect a reaction in the next game to atone what we witnessed, but we all know that is unlikely to happen, they don't have it in them. There is over four months of this season left to play and all I can see ahead is a series of endless defeats. We don't look capable of beating anyone right now.

This is now, unquestionably, the worst state the club has been in 50 years. Dark days with even darker ones still to come I fear.

I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

Money doesn't talk it swears, Obscenity who really cares, Propaganda all is phony.

I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

Well that was a long expensive weekend. Really enjoyable apart from the horror show of a match.

You could see from the warm up that they weren’t up for it. Too many just going through the motions pretending to be SL standard players.

At some point we have to hit rock bottom and then start to recover. Was that it?

Pele wouldn't play for the club again after that if I was in charge of anything.
Did 17 minutes, with a sit down for half time in the middle of it. Can't/won't run, can't/wont get around the pitch, can't/won't defend. A disgusting performance from any player, never mind an NRL import, quota player, high earner. No surprise to see them walking through the gap he was meant to be defending for the try before half time.

His fitness levels and conditioning are shameful - and he's not the only one you could say that about either. Sticking the kick off out on the full straight after that, inviting them back down to our end, with a minute to go to half time, summed us up overall - unprofessional.

Couldn’t agree more, I said it weeks ago, with people saying he’ll come good, not a chance in my opinion.

Must admit I was one of those who thought he may come good from what I'd seen this season once he'd got in to some form of shape or fitness. However the fact he still looks miles away from looking remotely fit is a concern in terms of his application as a sports professional but also concerning is the conditioning and fitness standards we have at the club currently. Its no wonder as a club we are joint bottom and deservedly so when the only player you can say is genuinely worthy of taking a quota spot is Ese'ese.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Pele reminds me of Hutch, Lauaki and Vete rolled into one.
