Looking like next week is the true acid test. Last year both Wigan and Saints nullified any bite we may even have had, so it will be interesting to see if/how we take the game to them next week. Bring it on, can't be any worse than the cup game against Wigan last year!
Philbin and possibly King will be back for Saints but no mention of Musgrove. I’m hoping his leg injury isn’t too bad but it didn’t look great when he came off last week.
Best I can say about this group of players is more is to come.. you get the feeling that they’ve not clicked properly yet. some good individual performances in most games with the same players standing out week on week..Burgess seems to have them playing as he wants and the team spirit looks good which is a massive plus for any team wanting to win the trophies on offer.. continue on this projection and who knows what will happen at end of the season..

For me, Philbin wouldn’t be getting back into the 17.
I wasn’t so much fussed about Philbin, he doesn’t get in a first choice 17 for me. I thought Musgrove was starting to look quite good and would like to see him back asap
The tackle by Ashton was so important as were the injuries to Handley & Holroyd. Great to win by so many & some good performances from our forwards & Williams (in particular) in the backs. Once again Ratchford showed his worth and I think it's becoming increasingly clear that he needs to be in the team.
Nice to have a game where we don't talk right edge defence, time to sort out the left two tries and Ratchford needs to jump for those kicks (joking)
Overall good performance we need to get our starts to halves better but we bounced back better yesterday and focused again. Thought we dominated the majority only one spell at beginning of 2nd half where they had just scored again and Lisonie was getting some joy.
As for individual performances Dufty was good had a hand in first two tries, fine in defence, was quieter second half but got his try. Thewlis so glad to see him get his try hopefully will do his confidence power of good and was good to see the reaction of his team mates when he did. Wrench felt like he was trying too hard at times and just needed to calm it a little, was screaming for that pass to Matty Nic but he has the best attack of our centres. Matty Ashton what a try saver great to see him chase them down. Harrison, Fitzgibbon and Crowther immense both sides of the ball. Bullock great confidence booster played well. Ben Currie I like a few others have give him some stick in the past but is loving life under Big Sam at 13. Threat in attack and didn't miss a tackle last night. Williams organised the troops and was a real handful the no look pass to Dufty was special
Glad we take that performance into Saints, the spirit of the team and the culture seems night and day from last year.
We have been crying out for a Fitzgibbon type player for years, runs hard, great lines and tackles well, he has been absolutely brilliant so far and I can't wait to see him up against Saints next week who arguably have the best back row in the league.
