Apologies if this had been discussed before, but could do with some advise on the Catalan game and hotels, flights, places to stay etc
Thinking of going for the first time this coming May so was wondering if there was some do's and dont's, best prices, places to stay, rough costs etc how to plan the flight (where from and to with best prices), hotel, transfers etc etc

A lot seem to stay in lloret de Mar and catch an organised coach for the 1.5 hour trip. It picks it on a main road in the fenals beach area near many hotels. I've been there when other club's fans have been staying and always intend doing it myself one day, not in February though. Wigan fans seem to prefer callela.
I imagine the Costa Brava is a bit of a miserable affair in February. I wouldn't think that a city break in Perpignan would be that pricey in Feb? And no doubt there would be more places open to stay, eat and drink than an out-of-season resort?
For May, I guess it's a bit warmer down in Northern Spain (about 20 degrees?). Not warm enough for me though for a beach resort - needs to be at least 30 degrees and no lower than 25 at night.
Depends on how long you wish to stay for. If you are going for a week, I would recommend staying in Lloret De Mar. I have only done long weekends, so I haven't stayed in Lloret. We have recently flown in to Carcassone and hired a car, driven to Perpignan and stayed at the Ibis Central Hotel. It usually worked out at around £220 each, for all the items (flight, car hire and hotel). I have done the trip 11 times. May in Perpignan is great.

Depends where you go. The strip and the grid of streets just off it is like a mini Benidorm. Fenals area is only 15 minutes walk away and much better. Wire fans tend to congregate at Le Pub there.
TBH we might have been there just before the season kicked off . There were a lot of places shut & the ones that were were only selling canned bitter .

Cheers buddy, if I DM can you give me a bot more detail? I'm looking at a long weekend really and so far the flights alone have been extortionate so could do with a few pointers?
