Is that Hurrell who got bitch slapped by Zach Eckersley in the Reserves Grand Final a few months ago?

I believe that they very nearly had no Welsby at all. I would have welcomed him with open arms. He is an excellent player and he really is top class HB in waiting.

The very same.
Obviously Eckersley is shoite too. They’ve a shedload of centres coming through the system.

This is where this forum becomes hysterical. One person on redvee made the comment about not wanting anyone from Wigan and he's had several replies saying he's talking rubbish; as has the person who said Field isn't up to much.

But suddenly on here, it's "everyone on Redvee." I could easily pick out one Wigan fan on here who talks rubbish and tar you all with that brush but that would be stupid. Not really sure why it happens on here so much.

There are a few agreeing and several struggling to see where you would get 5 from.

He really is a bit salty that particular poster his thoughts on the WCC-

As I said in the other thread, I hope Penrith hammer the scum.

Don't care what their fans are like, they're never going to be anything like the level of c*** that scum fans are.

It is called taking the urine. There isn’t a lot happening on a cold January day so to have a jest at a couple of dullards, particularly the Nazarene, is a bit of light hearted fun.
I can’t speak for anyone else but my posts are purely jesting at some absurd opinions of some posters on RV. I rarely if ever become hysterical about RL or sport in general.
If Penrith give us a good hiding next month I’d expect Saints fans to give us plenty of stick. Likewise if we beat Penrith then the stick will be going in opposite direction.

Maybe if yourself, Stu and FTV were joined by other Saints fans posting on this forum in genuine debate and banter then the jesting of RV dullards would just wither on the vine.

That's not true, though, is it mate? There are many on there who hold a similar view, even if it's not usually expressed in quite as extreme a manner as Mr Nazareth. Yourself, FTV and a couple others have a more reasoned view (FTV in the face of some ludicrous comments in return) but that shouldn't...and doesn't... preclude the ridiculing of the absolute brain-deads that also populate that board.

How many comments have you seen that have said that Field is nothing more than a broken field runner? Did they not watch last season? The vast majority of his tries were from relatively short range, often beating multiple defenders in the process. Even the long range ones were often created by himself, by shrugging off a defender etc. And that's before we even get to his try assists!

There is someone called Magic Superbeetle who gives this very opinion as the reason he wouldn't want Field in the Saints team and then goes on to wax lyrical about how creative Welsby is. Is he too stupid to realise that, if Welsby is as good as he is saying, that he'd be the ideal person to unlock Field's devastating pace ? Welsby at 6 with Field at 1 would be frightening if Saints had them both!

Mind you, the same poster thinks he has spotted that a French/Field combination is a liability despite it winning superleague last year. Apparently Matt Peet...you know, the coach who has taken out every domestic trophy in his first 2 years...hasn't seen this problem and should be listening to some d!ck on a fans forum

Mate, that’s what I call trying to defend the indefensible. Some of the posters on RV have no rugby league knowledge and little between the ears. There are however others, like yourself, who I like to debate with.

Field is all class as is Welsby and French end of story, no debate and no animosity. There are just not enough of them in SL.

With regard to the WCC my view is that the best team will win. If that is Penrith then I acknowledge their achievement. If we manage to take the spoils then I will be thrilled. Either way, I am looking forward to seeing some top NRL athletes and one of the greatest number 7s who has played the game. Watching Cleary is, in my view, worth the admission fee alone. By the way, don’t be surprised if Welsby is on Penrith’s radar for the 2025 season. Had Jack received an offer from, let’s say, a more high profile NRL club his bags would have been packed. Personally, I am glad that he stayed as SL can’t afford to lose players like him.
