Confirmed by the club expected to join north queensland cowboys.
Best of luck to him, he's got some talent and a lot of potential but I don't think he really got the breaks at wire and I hope the move works well for him. It would be great for one of our young academy graduates to play in the nrl so I hope he gets a bit of game time.

Ah what a shame, he joins the long time, well established home grown Wire halfback exodus. Hayes will likely be joining it in 18 months.
He may or may not be good enough for us currently, but 10 games over 4 years is hardly much of a chance especially when the last 2 years have been abysmal sides.

I get the point but he has played 40 games in all across the different leagues, plus reserves & academy - some young players don't get that. Despite spells at Cas & Featherstone they have not made a move to bring him in to their club permanently. I'm sure the club has seen every game he has played either live or via video and they clearly think Hayes is ahead of him at this stage.
He will feature for the Mackay Cutters - a feeder club for the Cowboys, I hope he does well, it's a good opportunity for him.

Adam Cuthbertson plays for these, played with Riley at York and Fev, guessing he helped make this happen.
