Before I’m banned ( and return under a different moniker) this is copy n pasted from a castleford tigers forum
By my reckoning at least 11 players from this season won’t start the next one with us,and I get the distinct impression more will be on their way, with at least two in discussions with other clubs. Far outweighing the rumoured ⅚ incomings. Word is more need to go before more come in.It’s a root and branch alright, it’ll be a younger, less experienced team that takes the field for the first game that’s for sure. Only hoping we retain some of the older heads to steer the ship, and still thinking we are light on the prop front. Also whispers surfacing of Widdop discussing a player/coach role in the championship

I really hope that's just the result of some Cas fans looking at this forum and passing off speculation on here as something that can be relied on. It makes no sense whatsoever bringing in a player who'd probably be on double any one else here, who's recent fitness record, and performances at Cas have been poor - and perhaps most importantly could only play here in the halves or fullback where probably 3 of our 4 best players play.

Widdop is signing for Championship team…. Wakefield (That’s a joke by the way before people start asking how did I get this information)

He is recovering from rupturing his achilles last pre season but once fit he could be worth looking at as well as Sutcliffe.
Looks like Hudson will be joining Leeds according to Matt Shaw.

Now that the season has ended for us what are peoples opinions on what positions we need to improve in for next year. I have made my feelings clear were we need to change and i would be interested to know what everyone else thinks.

As i've laboured on about for at least 3 seasons, the pack.Hopefully Finn can find the right balance of forwards to be able to adapt to all conditions.I fear though, yet again, there are already too many retentions..

I guess the same as every team which is up front. Everyone looking for the same type of player and there are not many of them about. I know Springer debate has been done to death but we need a big unit capable of busting tackles and getting us on the front foot as I just don't see the current forwards capable of it. A wrecking ball PNG player would be nice but so unlikely.
I think key positions we are set with JWH, Keyes, Joufrett but I would love us to sign AOB and release Moore and have Inman learning from O Brien. If OB went back becuase of money like is the speculation then its unlikely but if its simply Hudds having probs and then not playing him in the last game there could be a good chance but I fear it would be Inman that may be the fall guy.
In the backs I think Crooks has looked good filling one of our problem positions but we need another out and out centre, playing wingers there and thinking they will do a great job is just daft/arrogant.

We've certainly missed Gwaze and Barber this season and their intended replacements Doro and King didn't work out, as well as Maher and Kyle Wood easing off is like losing another player. Also we've missed Worthington's defence on the edges.

SG’s final interview has a few comments on retention and recruitment and the state of the club so worth a listen.
Basically there won’t be wholesale changes but there will be some incomings and the majority have been done with a couple more bits of business to follow which according to him should give us a competitive squad in a competitive division.
The club faces some difficulties and challenges and he mentioned not owning our ground as one of them but it was in good hands and that was about it.

Huddersfield have just signed Thomas Deakin from Roosters who plays at 9 so could see A O’b coming free but even if he does there will be a few clubs interested in having him.
