So, those of you at the game yesterday may have noticed that the LBSA were not selling the 50/50 tickets. This I was told, was at the behest of the club who have decided that they want to run the halftime
draw. They want all the money.
The whole thing is crazy in my opinion. Firstly the club gets the 50/50 money in Academy sponsorship. Secondly, at £10.00 a strip, tickets are too expensive. Thirdly, all the prizes were Broncos products, which means that away fans have no interest in buying tickets.
It seems that the club are going back to the days of the Monkey and taking fans for granted again.
When will they learn.

Hmm trying this stroke at the last game of the season seems wacky. I can see how a 50/50 at a pound a ticket would cut across a tenner a strip offer. As you, I think a tenner a strip is too much. I got caught out at RP and wouldn’t do it again. More generally away fans do partake and tend to win frankly. If I recall the winner of one prize at RP was an away fan and suggested they re-raffle the prize (which I think was probably worth a tenner to a home fan and zero to an away one.) long story short yes a rubbish idea and a bit of disrespect to LBSA on top. I noticed there wasn’t a 50/50 as they usually make themselves noticed. did anyone know there was a club raffle. need to straighten our thinking out.

At least one person who previously sold 50/50 tickets, declined to sell the clubs tickets.

Can’t blame him. Surely the time to go down this road- and close down an effective way of bringing in a little money to the club was pre season having worked out how to sell/ market the £10 strip. As an aside I’d like to see pre season being the time we recruit new players and raise awareness of the coming season to the potential audience not a third of the way through but I digress.

There is a club raffle in Corporate at £10 a ticket. I believe prizes include signed balls, tickets to matches like the Challenge Cup Final and a Corporate Box. I think they sell reasonably well. But £10 for those in the East Stand is far too much, especially if the prizes don't have a value much higher than the ticket price.

At ten pounds a strip, they will not sell well to those in the "cheap seats" especially if nobody is prepared to sell them on the clubs behalf.

Poor from the club that. The timing initially struck me as a little strange, however I guess we have seen a bump in crowd numbers for the last few fixtures, so maybe a desperate attempt to claw some money in at what was likely to be our last home game of the season.

Feels very disrespectful to the Supporters Association, who have done great fundraising work over the years. But ballsy to get them to try and sell the clubs tickets too.

At least the ownership is letting everyone know where they stand.....
