I don’t have names (because I wasn’t told any), but I was told a few weeks back that we have retained, and/or were very close to retaining, key players,
And have new signings, that will continue to build upon what we have seen this season.
I think the most important development of our club last season and then this, has been the bond and trust between DB, A Lam and Chris Chester. Lam and Chester can spot the right player (established or yet to be fully discovered by others), and Derek knows they know their stuff. We also now have the reputation and strength of position, to entice players who may have gone elsewhere previously.
A great time to be a Leyther and I expect more announcements in the coming weeks.
Well, the paper talk in the Yorkshire press, and they usually get it right, is that we have signed both Norman and Trout for next season. Both are big lads.
If this is correct, then any perceived lack of size would appear to have already been largely addressed.
