Seems pretty conventional. Apart from using “diluted and watered down” and going a bit stream on consciousness at the end.
The European game doesn’t lack aspiration - it lacks money, relative to the NRL.

He's done ok don't get me wrong
But we have too many players who are "ok"
And then our fans wonder why we struggle most seasons to pull up any trees
Players like Scott, fash won't ever take us to that next level

I hope that's true, he'll be a more than adequate replacement for Big Chris. I have seen him a few times this season, he's a unit and if he can improve his fitness, he'll be a great acquisition. You have made my day with this one.

What would be your 17 next season to take us to the next level?
We have the same issue as every other team, compounded by the fact that fans' expectation, mine included, doesn't match the reality of the shrinking pool of talent available. Four good signings, a half , prop and ideally two back rowers and I'd be happy that Smith could mould that squad into a play off team. People don't like James Bentley, personally, for me, I think he'd be an excellent signing. He is committed, sometimes overly so, and an upgrade on what we currently have. A big prop and a hard running second rower would make me a happy man. Think the halfback problem will be the hardest to solve and, if we don't get Clune we may have to take a punt on someone unknown, if we can source the talent from the NRL, or even championship.

I'd say we also need a hooker. Two if Houghton retires.
