Powell will get the full 3 seasons, maybe receiving a 60 point kicking tonight might do something but I even doubt that. In fairness to Powell and after some deliberation (I don't think he's the right man) it would be wrong to give him the boot right now - we are second in the league after all. I doubt he can, but if he can arrest this freefall and get us looking likely to win a GF in the next month then he'll be proving his coaching credentials. I'd consider this period his last chance though.

Personally I think we're heading for a long losing streak, hope I'm wrong.

I think you're right, lose the next 3 and he might become untenable based on the last 5 results. Other than that, he's here until the end of the season. I really really hope he manages his way through this blip and we start our run for the playoffs in the coming weeks..if he can't change the current momentum, he's not the right man for the job IMO.

I'll be behind him tonight from the start, because being behind him is better than calling for his head in minute one.

I agree and I hope you are wrong on the losing streak. He deserves the chance to arrest the slide after the start we had this season. I have doubts also whether he can do it but we may be pleasantly surprised. If we somehow go on another winning streak we will be looking at the playoffs in a different light.

Did you actually read what I wrote? I agreed that he would be a good option. I simply questioned why people, including yourself, seem so sure he would come to Warrington if offered the job.

I feel sorry for him now. Clearly something is very wrong behind the scenes that is outside of his control. Hes clearly a decent bloke and I have to have some compassion. I just wonder what it is in our club that persists across player and coach personnel?
