I did say in an earlier post we would just escape relegation. We are doing everything we possibly can to build to become a top side. Promoted clubs have a massive disadvantage to stay in Superleague. If you've noticed, Leigh have done it different this time by recruiting Superleague standard players whilst in the championship, and have added a further 12 players to that. Of course that still doesn't mean we will be challenging for honours, but it gives us a better chance to build towards that. FWIW - Hull fc recruit well every season, and I always have them for the play offs. Unfortunately like I've already said, injuries have hampered you regularly. If injuries or suspensions are kind, I'm going for Hull fc to be in the play offs, and Leigh to finish around 8th/9th/10th position. also noticed in the interview with Pearson, the only debt the club has is the loan to the government!

Technically it’s a loan from the RL, I believe. The government handed a lump sum to the RL and they made cash sums available to those clubs that applied. I wonder when the cash has to be paid back to the government because this will impact the RL. Are they in a position to reimburse without the clubs coughing up. If the clubs need to reimburse prior to the loan being paid back, I can see a few clubs floundering.

The pitch was in a right state last season before a rugby ball was kicked !

A tad site better than Headingley, the only thing they can practice doing on that pitch is making sandcastles.
