When he was fit, Scott made a difference to our on field performance. He sounds confident his injury problems are sorted and I’m happy he’s signed another year.

I liked what I saw when Scott played, he has that bit of mongrel in him which was lacking in a lot of the side last season

If we can get him fit, it’s a good retention.

A back row of Scott, Butler and England is decent enough if we can keep them on the field

Well its a start. But lets not forget, as well as those 3, Murphy, AJ, Kibula, Baldwinson, Mustapha, Hoyle, Walters and Mellor all spent time on the field on the second row last year. We need 2 more yet.

It is going to be very interesting to see who our new props turn out to be as we need atleast 2 to replace Crossley and Walker.
I'd have Ross Peltier back, shame he wouldn't come near the place due to the clubs ownership.

We need to replace Flemming, Evans, Crossley, Walker, Kibula, Hallas from our middle unit and we wont have Mustaffa available this year either or Gannon if he goes to Leigh as rumoured. And lets not forget Scurr will miss the first 7 games as well.

So far the only one thats come in is Foster and lets be honest, none of us know anything about him. We need 5 or 6 more middles, any one any ideas?!??!

I gave Walker the benefit of the doubt during his first season back and assumed that he would get himself in decent shape after his first season and really kick on. For him to turn up so out of shape for that second season told me everything I needed to know about the standards of the playing squad for last year. Amateur players are in better shape than some of our 'semi-pro' players.

At least when we play Widnes we know exactly who to target. Seen milk turn quicker.
