They shouldn't get any time off these next 2 weeks, they need to be training and training. If i see players having another week off on holiday or camping i'll lose my mind.
We’re obviously not getting rid. We are purchasing players I presume on his call.
For me it’s Karl Fitzpatrick fault. He had a ready made replacement in Paul Anderson ( a league leader winner with not a standout team at Huddersfield) who either didn’t want it or was deemed not good enough by Fitzpatrick. Anderson is the guy who brought Our youngsters through and no wonder he decided to up sticks and bail out.

Well it’s a good time to sack a coach. Or if the coach is as good as some think then more quality time with him will have an effect.
The next time we lace up boots it will be over 2 calendar months since our last win, something has to change to arrest that momentum.
But, 16 gone, 12 to go, only 5 wins. Not acceptable, lost to Wakefield 3 times (no disrespect, but they would kill for the squad we have - on paper) and had another 30 points out on us. Change has to happen, what that change is is up to the board, but it’s not working out, not going in the right direction and not showing green shoots of hope. There is NOTHING
They have downed tools for the club completely. Professional players with no pride whatsoever. Powell takes some responsibility because he doesn't have to choose them and continually looks past Dean and longstaff but realistically the players just don't care, the defensive attitude shows that. I expected this season to be a write off but this is appalling, way worse than I could have imagined.

The group of players are capable. They are, but for one major omission (Hill) the same group plus some additions of the new regime. The previous regime got them organised and robust, although not entertaining. We were difficult to break down but we couldn’t capitalise on good field position, we could get to the line just not over it.
Now we are rag tag defensively, passive in the middle and porous on the edges. Going forward we do have a bit of pace in the team, Wrench, Ashton and Widdop when they have room look likely, but we can’t execute it really.
We have gone backwards, we look visibly fatigued at the back end of halves (conceded on 38 and 77 today I think), our defence is disoriented, it’s just a shambles.
I can only guess that there has been a total breakdown in the relationship between coaching staff and players, either due to personalities, methods, regime or all of the above.
I no longer buy the bad egg theory as the sole cause, since one of the players named as such continues to.put in strong perfoemances. If there genuinely are disruptive influences in the dresssing room.well, we'll be stuck with a few still next year.
But we've reached a watershed moment. Whether this group of players and coaches are capable of pulling together and delivering results is now highly questionable.
Those that are saying its not powell's fault or let's give him until this time next season...what is it you're seeing that makes you think it's suddenly going to turn around and get better? Do you really think changing a few players for next season is going to be the answer?
Surely a good coach should be able to work with what he's got first and get the best out of his squad before gradually changing personnel and evolving. If there were signs of something like a style of play, or if he was developing a few of the kids with game time, then maybe you could say OK let's see where this is going, but so far after signing some players he wanted, a full preseason and half a season it's just dross after dross with no signs of anything and no answers. The highlight being we did a bit better against saints. I think like Roy Hodgson was at Liverpool, he just isn't the right man for the job.
And I'm not saying some of the players aren't blameless, however it's down to the coach to manage players attitudes and if their attitudes are bad they shouldn't be picked - simple
