Really happy with the win today.
My only concern is our lack of speed at 1,6&7. Yes I know we’ve had numerous combinations. Fact is Gale Reynolds Connor are far too slow.
Couple of times Johnstone had the gap but lacked the pace to finish.
Hopefully next season we get the pace required to compliment our pack.
We can then compete with saints & wigan

Left centre is no longer Griffins position to lose.He has lost it
Both Wynne and Mitch are streets ahead of Griffin on current form

But neither are an automatic pick for the slot. Both pushing for the place.

Slightly shaky start to both halves again (something we need to work on) but once in our rhythm a decent performance. Manu Ma'u excellent once more, Wynne such a grafter and a natural try scorer. McIntosh really finding his feet.

A week off and then two tough tests but hopefully with three half backs available again.

Let's be honest we would have still won today if Brad Fash was at 7, all Johnstone did was pass the ball to Connor or Lovodua, he didn't create anything and looked slow a couple of times when gaps appeared. Hookem should have played today, missed opportunity.

Good win though, very dominant against a pretty poor side.

Starting to think making Mau gets another year as is probably playing his best rugby for Hull.

Tough decision in two weeks time with what to do with Gale and Reynolds. I think it would be a massive mistake to play them both. Keep Lovodua at 6 and play one of them, move Johnstone to the bench.

Hard for Mitch to get his place in the 17 too.

Missed the game yesterday for the first time this season, so hard for me to judge but it sounds like it was a professional performance against a pretty depleted Toulouse side.

Hull need to do everything possible to keep Wynne at the club, there is a great deal of interest in him from SL clubs and for me he has done enough so far to cement his place in the side. Quick, agile, always has the defence guessing. Great young player who will only improve. Whilst the club is looking to streamline its cap to become more sustainable it is so important to keep young talents like him at the club

100%, him and Lovodua has to be the top priorities, be really disappointed if he lost either of these.

I think he has an option of optional year, but we should be looking at a 3 year deal.

Seems to have played for years but only 21.

100%. Love Wynne. Very physical player and definitely doesn't shirk any defensive work. He absolutely dominated Matautia in defence against Warrington. Should be first choice left centre moving forward with Griffin I the 2nd row. I like Griffin, but Wynne has much more about his game. Griffin basically plays the game as a 2nd rower just further out wide.

Agree on the Conner Wynne debate, has a wierd but effective running style, clearly very strong & seems able to change direction, spin & accelerate quickly, big hitter in defence too.
Haven't seen much passing though so lets not get carried away, he does have more pace than Griff so the team will probable benefit from him at Centre & Griff in the pack.
We still have Scott & Mitch so do worry that we cant keep this years squad numbers as several due decent upgrades. Think BIG earners looking hard to justify, upgrade Lovodua, Wynne plus a couple of others or sign another 30+ Nrl player ?

Youth is the answer- ours is looking better by the day !!

Id give JJ a new deal peraonally different player now hes not in the hooking role, could certainley be a valuable player of the bench. One of worst performances the other week and he never played.

Hes not a popular player though so doubt many will agree, hes hard as nails.

Enjoyed that, two week break now till Saints. Picked up tickets yesterday £23, unlike the Pies ripping us off at £30.

I would not keep Johnstone but think he will get another year.
Dont forget we have Cator hopefully back next season and Balmforth will get a full pre season.
Johnstone is the old era type hooker hard as nails but who has no pace. Unfortunately for him the game has moved on.
He will end up in the Championship
