Perhaps the Broncos could have some presence at this event at Plough Lane two days after the Newcastle match and the start of the summer pitch maintenance break. Simply the visibility to the local community that there is a Rugby League team in town should help.

Apart from a very small minority (of fans) that don't want to share the stadium in any way, I honestly don't see any reason the football club wouldn't want the Broncos involved,

Join us for a Family Fun Day that will celebrate our status as a community club back in Wimbledon.

On Sunday 15 May 2022 (10am – 5pm) – two weeks after the end of our first season at Plough Lane with supporters – we will be opening our doors to the community for a fantastic event.

With all funds to be donated to our Dons Local Action Group, just donate a tin of food and enjoy alternative entertainment at the Cherry Red Records Stadium!

There’s fun for all the family, including live music and interviews with Wimbledon legends (past and present), plus festival style food stalls, cocktails, and drinks from the Phoenix.

Other attractions include shopping stalls, a picnic area on the pitch, tours of the stadium, fair rides, inflatables, face paints, a sponsored abseil, the premiere of Wimbledon in Sporting History’s new movie ‘Wombles from the Lane’. Though football is not the main focus after the end of the season, we will be hosting five-a-side tournaments on the main pitch, beat the keeper games, and more.

We can’t wait to welcome you!

That seems a really sensible suggestion. One hopes LB management will be on that.

Hope.
But we know the Broncos management all too well don’t we?
If there’s an opportunity to miss you can be certain they’ll miss it!

As of 8.45pm, The banner advertising the Bradford game still lands at a page announcing that York tickets are no longer available.

The recent recruitment adverts described London Broncos as "a Professional Rugby League Club"........they lied!

In terms of an open goal to promote ourselves to Kids, our goal-posts will be up on Friday the 13th, so have them at one end of the park, beat the keeper at the other. Run a conversion comp with prizes, get 100 T-shirts, 100 Tote bags, 100 APX SOOOOOPER Water Bottles and other assorted stuff as well as handfuls of tickets for the Sheffield game and a prize draw for a Box at that game.....Buck and Dusty can wander about. I'd also heavily push the RLWC.....maybe get the RFL to help out???

As others have said......let's see if they can get their lazy overpaid butts into action

I think we have to be realistic. An actual presence at the event would be progress. Perhaps one or two of our players could be persuaded to attend along with a member of staff and hand out flyers for upcoming games and perhaps badges, stickers, mini flags or some such of the usual fare. If there’s a screen with AFC action perhaps they would agree to show short highlights/taster of rugby league once an hour or some such. May have to show action from a previous year of course. Anything really just to keep momentum going in a modest way.

I should say in the interests of fairness that the water bottles are of a good quality. It was a decent gesture to give them to kids. I am surprised that they and other merchandise I saw in the club shop weren’t available to buy online previously. Perhaps a production delay or something out of their control. But generally if you have items for sale best to put them on sale.

Monkey doesn't own it......it's owned by All Sports Global Ltd which has 1 director Abdul Qayyum Akram and is registered at 2nd Floor, 158 Grattan Road, Bradford, England, BD1 2HS.....the same registered address for APX.
The club has.many issues to deal with, but I'd hope that APX who also supply kit to the Broncos CEO's hockey side are scratched next year......he really hasn't achieved much whilst double dipping into the Hughes kitty.

My experience is that the merch has been decent it’s other areas where there have been issues from what I can see.
Who knows what the club will do for merch next season or if we’ll be around next season but I wouldn’t say changing suppliers was a must. In any event, I’m sure there will be a review of all aspects if we survive this season from social media to marketing, player recruitment and retention to the website. Possibly a relaunch 2.0.
