When de Pfeffel gets desperate out comes the classics, this time trying to blame Starmer for Saville despite this being shown to be incorrect but since when does the truth ever bother him. He even mentioned the 40 new hospitals and 20,000 new Police.
I may have missed him actually getting Brexit done, he signed an agreement for us to leave the EU but now wants to scrap it because he did not realise what he was putting his name to.

He rolled out the old EMA lie again for good measure and a new one about a fall in crime too.

359 Conservative MPs currently. About 130 are ministers or Parliamentary Private Secretaries (the payroll vote), plus whips.

So let’s say approx. 220 backbenchers. Fewer than 1 in 4 of them need to submit a letter of no confidence. Or put another way, are there really more than 160 of them who are so docile, so lacking in integrity and even a sense of political self-preservation that they’ll go to the wall for a ‘man’ who basically despises them as nomarks (as he does nearly everybody, in fairness).

Andrew Mitchell described the relationship between the Conservative Party and Boris Johnson as transactional. If they keep him after today, it descends into the abusive. Don’t worry, I’m sure he’s really sorry, and didn’t mean it and won’t do it again and he does care about you.

'Thus I am tormented by my curiosity and humbled by my ignorance.' from History of an Old Bramin, The New York Mirror (A Weekly Journal Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts), February 16th 1833.

It will be interesting who they will send out for the morning round of tv interviews. I suppose there could be an outbreak of isolation on the front bench after good old Liz who had Covid sat throughout the statement mask free like many others around her.

They're going to be struggling for willing and able candidates to defend him soon.
'The Brains' Truss and Car Crash Dorries only make things worse, Mogg is pretty much banned from making serious media appearances whilst most of the other serious ones aren't going anywhere near putting their necks out to defend him.

"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."

It won't matter who they put out as whoever it is won't get a word in when that ignorant sod Kay Burley at sky news consistently interrupts and talks over the interviewee.

A bit of honesty and integrity will make a pleasant change though.

Hope he stays in the job. It's incredibly entertaining and if his career up to now is any guide we can expect more of the same. He's just taking the whole lot down with him now.

Johnson's career progression is, sacked, promoted, sacked., promoted etc. If they sack him as PM then I can only see Secretary General of the UN as a next step. Although I think he would be far more suited to President of FIFA or head of the IOC.

Your right but you won't get that from her, she's too big a mate of that Andy Burnham

If he did there would be far more honesty and integrity in both sports.
