As for Corbyn, yes indeed what about Corbyn, it’s obvious you have to mention him ,he was the leader of the Labour Party that was a spectacular failure. It’s always convenient for the left of this country to blame the woes of the Labour Party on farage and the sun. It’s a extremely useful cop out. You claim that for a large chunk of voters policy doesn’t matter, certainly the Labour Party’s policy on Brexit damaged them.
Also the Labour Party’s policy on immigration may well cost them the next election. May suit the Labour Party to scrap failed policies and go back to your favourite identity politics. Oh wait on ,they already do that, take a bow Angela Rayner, also let’s not forget the mastermind genius David lammy

Labours failings at the last election were obvious.
An unpopular leader (apart from within his own clique and an abysmal policy over Brexit.

Although there were and still are plenty of other issues, these were THE main reasons that they bombed.

Yeah this is all true. Their individual policy positions were typically more popular according to the polling but that doesn't factor in resonance of issues. For leavers they somehow thought Labour represented Remain (despite Corbyn being more of a leaver than Johnson) and that was a bigger motivator than regular policy points.

An interesting question for me is what happens to the sometimes very large Brexit Party vote which was the deciding difference in quite a few Labour held constituencies. People who couldn't vote Tory or Labour but for whom in 2019 the most salient issue was Brexit. Johnson is trying desperately to string it out but by 2024 it will be over as a major issue for the next decade or so. Where do those votes go when normal issues return to the top of the list?

The current problem is that many people choose to believe the world according to Farage and what they see in the Sun for example to the exclusion of everything else. It is like in the USA when despite the overwhelming evidence they prefer to believe what they are told by sites like QAnon because it better fits their existing prejudices.

The problem is, is that no one with half a braincell trusts Labour given the lies they told last time they were in power.

And how is trust going to be with Bojo & Co, given that their compulsion for "mis-speaking" is the worst form any Government in living memory

I see. Latest polling puts Labour on 36% and Cons on 37%. Are you writing off the full 36% as having "Half a braincell"?

See you've conveniently expunged Tony Blair from your list of the worst form of governments in living memory for telling porkies, also just an observation, but you seem to have reverted back to type with the infantile bojo name calling, sad really.

The projection from the last poster about name calling is overwhelming.

For someone who doesn't have an opinion apparently, and considers themselves impartial etc. They certainly have a lot to say, But only one way.
Seems to also very much ignore the name calling, lies etc from one side yet highlights any small offence from the other side to equate it as a parallel equivalent when it is far from that.
IIRC there's been a post lately where they say they want to focus on the positives, so in other words lets ignore all the lies, deceit, corruption and double standards yet I suspect wouldn't, and on occasions hasn't afforded the opposition/others the same leeway.
