I like Abdull as I have said in previous posts but Hastings is a former man of steel winner and has arguably been our best player in his time with us, one where we came close to winning the league. Abdull controls the game better and is a much better kicker for me but he needs to do and achieve a lot more to be compared to Hastings. I just think people are making hyperbolic statements off the back of an awful season and fans are thinking everything within the club is bad.
If Abdul wins MOS this year will that make him better than all the halves in the comp?

You stick with your structured rugby and I’ll hang on for some proper rugby I’ve not called Hastings but I find him one dimensional.
For what it’s worth Abdul far better at taking the line on and a much more consistent and varied kicking game. For me he also leads the team around much better
If I want to praise a simple bit I’ll often used tactic of a short kick over the top I will Didn’t realise we were turning into Red Vee mark 2
No, it really was that simple to go with that because he is. Hastings is literally is better at every facet of the game. He's also a proven talent (former MOS) that's not this week's flash in the pan.
Haha so it's Redvee now because I've called you out on being glass half empty when it comes to the club? You said a week or so ago that we're at the level of Leigh, I still can't get my head around if that was a serious remark. Now we're saying that Abdul is in the same bracket as Hastings, who's generally regarded as one of the best in the league.

I stand by the Leyth comment. At the time we were Shoite and since then we’ve improved to the level of constipation and finally relieved ourselves yet again when it really mattered Lowest number of points and tries per game in the competition
If you think Hastings has a better kicking game and organiser than Abdul then you’d better get to specsavers

The lack of RL knowledge from our fans never ceases to amaze me.
The inability of some people to accept that some people can and do have different opinions continues to make smile. It doesn’t amaze me because I see it and hear it everyday.
I’ve probably forgotten more about rugby than some people and a significant number of people know vastly more than me I know what I like in a player and I think Abdul would fit nicely into the squad offering a different style and giving us a better platform
Happy to share my lack knowledge anytime you wanna meet up Let’s have a side bet who knows more to make it a little more interesting

to be fair he has been this season, doesnt make it a better player, the same could be said regarding Bateman, 95% of second rowers have been better than him this year but doesnt make them better players overall. If they do it consistently over the years it will.

I wasn't overly disappointed we didn't sign him but mainly because I feel there's always a big risk of returning players lacking motivation for a challenge they've previously overcome.
It’s just been ok for me. He’s been pretty quiet in every final to my mind, certainly in relation to how he can play. It’s not that I’m criticising him as such but he’s not been at his very best and I see an outstanding player, a player being paid a fortune as one who thrives in the biggest games and comes up with big moments.

Pretty much.
Abdull has had a decent year, but so has Jackson.
Aside from his kicking game though I don't see a single attribute that he has that is better than what Hastings has.
