From very early on it was clear that he had a problem with Springer who seemed to be the fall guy a number of times when other players had performed worse. If anything the Haven game should have highlighted that we were crying out for a player like that and to get rid of a player when we are already short of numbers and to a division rival seems a bit daft. Fev will be laughing if this move works out, probably won't cost them much as we will likely have contributed and it weakens a squad that could potentially challenge them for SL.
1000% this...I like Liam Harris but against Toulouse he was like a turnstyle yet featured the following week. How many of yesterdays side will get left out next week after conceding 28 points to a poor side ?? our worst defensive effort for many weeks..

BJ. You can't leave anyone out if there's nobody to replace them.

Which makes the decision to get rid of a player who is without a doubt better than our squad players mystifying at best. Springer was named in the squad otherwise we could not have named a full squad which does make you think we have someone lined up. Id imagine after yesterday Connor Robinson will be back in against the Bulls but the big question is who does he drop out of Harris and Grix? The reality is we have a good idea it will be neither and more likely to be another of his fall guys.

Both your posts on this are spot on for me. you some grix and is double standards up perfectly. How can he be good enough for fev and not for us when they are currently better then us. For me the biggest problem of all is in the long run will the players start to see that certain ones can play poorly and still get picked were others make a couple of mistakes and are straight out of the side and in some cases out of the club. In grix interview he does say hopefully there will be some additions to the squad in the coming weeks. I was told by someone i trust yesterday that he is also trying to offload robinson for next season even thou he is contracted and looking at tom gilmore again at batley for next season if true is this not poor judgement on is behalf did he not know what robinson was like before signing him after hall he did play with him as a player. And did he not know what he was getting with springer he as to take the responsibility for this but he always puts it on the players.
Fair argument Singapore. I am more on the positive with this one as to who can they bring into the team now . Someone with size but a different attitude for me
Grix is looking it at a different angle from fans , he works with the players week in week out , he sees them in training, he as a direct insight into their attitude his default standard is hard work which springer wasn’t, he was roughly playing 20/30 mins per game and I’m surmising on top wages , I’d like to think that with springer, brearley, Hewitt and more than likely bourough out it ll free up some money to bolster the squad, it is mentioned we’re on the lookout.
I don't care who the player is you can't spit your dummy out if your not selected and if you do and start talking about leaving then there is only one option and that's what's happened.

Spot on.
This squad has a great spirit and work ethic. If someone doesn`t like it and has a go at the coach when left out the best thing for all parties is for him to move on.
Team spirit wins games that might be lost in every team game. Think back to Chris Andersons team of rag, tag and bobtails. A whole much greater than the individual parts built on togetherness.
If we get a player that adds to that then everyone will be happy. Just hope there is someone available.

Im not sure there has been a mention of spitting his dummy out rather a player that is not happy about not been selected. Id expect that from any player. I suspect its more a case of unhapiness towards the coach because he's playing to a different set of rules than some other players.

It would be interesting to hear Grix's real thoughts on the matter. Grix signed Springer and most fans could see what type of player he is from watching him. Did Grix think he could change that? Maybe he came under pressure from people above paying a player who wasn't playing. The whole timing is out as we already look low on numbers which makes us suspect that someone is lined up.
