For me, we need a new leader and a combined effort to save the game for it is now in a parlous position. A lot of folks inside the game across a lot of clubs believe it will only take one club to fold for it to start a domino effect.
I agree, the game needs a shake up and new leadership of one aligned organisation.
Saying that, the game’s never had a common sense approach. I can remember in one season (1982 or 1983?) due to our Cup runs, we had a major backlog of fixtures and threatened to play two games simultaneously. However, the RFL wouldn’t allow us to play beyond a certain date and we just had to get on with it.
