Judging him off his performances for Fax after he signed for shudds i can't see him being of any benefit to us. Now if we could have the CB of pre signing that would be a different story.

Don't know much about this lad except for him being ex-Siddal. It really is disheartening though reading about all the local lads playing in SL. If only....

Whats more disheartening is that he is in the last year of his contract and Wigan expect him to develop playing for us with possibly his career on the line. The whole system needs a change, hes probably good enough to play regular championship rugby but Wigan and others just sign them up just incase they make it. By the time they get to this age championship clubs for the most part will not be able to afford to take a chance on an unproven player and its just another number lost to the semi pro/pro game.

Waste of an interchange spot if you ask me. Take a player who could do a good 80 minutes in SL and restrict him to 40-60 minutes is not only a waste of talent but a waste of another interchange spot that could be used better.

Could be but on the other hand much of today’s game is all about speed around the ruck which dictates the speed of the team across the park.

As good as Brandon is and was for the Giants he did tire towards the end of the game.

Any 9 doing the full 80 will get fatigued, (especially with the no scrum rule and the quicker restarts) the fatigue slows the attack and leaves him vulnerable in defense.


Added to this if you go with just one 9 and they were to get injured that leaves you with a makeshift pivot, that’s why a lot of teams have gone with 2 hookers in the 17.

A good interchange option at 9 can be a waste or one of the most potent you can have at your disposal.
