Early doors of course, I’m a little more blue than red but not strongly, and of course it is difficult under the current circumstances, but Starmer looks out of his depth to me.

Brings Labour more central than Corbyn from what I can see but difficult to see how he will break down the current gulf between the 2 parties

I actually think he is doing it correctly and has shown Raab up on both PMQ’s. He is taking the situation into consideration but has definitely got over the government’s failures in many aspects of their handling of the virus. I have watched both of his PMQ’s which clearly showed Raab getting annoyed while Starmer kept his.
I look forward to his first confrontation with Johnson whenever that will be because unlike Starmer he relies on sound bytes and being vague which he got away with when dealing with Corbyn. He won’t with Starmer whose career prepared him for this type of performance and can come back with responses as Raab found out.

He's dull with a weak team sat behind him. Bojo has charisma and can carry it off whilst connecting with the country. Another dull Labour leader won't get them anywhere.

You’ve probably put it better than me, but that’s the way I see it :D

At the end of this there is a good chance the country will be looking for competence rather than charisma.

Sadly Labours bench is very poor. Bojos new 'kiddie' will be in senior school when Bojo decides to step aside.

Bojo will come unstuck at some point, absolutely no doubt about it.
Labours chances of ever returning to power will hinge on whether they are good enough or clever enough to exploit Boris's bloopers.

One thing they have to do, is broaden their appeal, something that they havent managed since Blair was at the helm.

There is going to be a HUGE squeeze on the public purse once we start to come through the other end of the Covid 19 situation and this would be the chance for Labour to improve their standing.

At least Sir Keir Starmer does not have to live with a name like Boris de Pfeffel and unlike Johnson he was born in the U.K and appears better at his personal life. In addition I am sure he is more honest than Johnson but that is not a very high bar to reach

Horrible Dorris, the health minister who at the moment you'd think would be too busy with health matters to re-tweet a doctored tweet from a nutty extreme right winger without checking its veracity, has got the ball rolling.

pity she's so thick and has quite rightly had a bollocking from one of the Tory whips who didn't also re-tweet without checking.

And neither would any Lancastrian.

Embarrasing article from the Mail on Sunday. Even the readership thought so.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8327255/Man-people-New-Labour-leader-Sir-Keir-owns-seven-acres-land-Surrey-worth-10m.html

In a desperate attempt to smear Starmer as some sort of landed gentry, they actually uncovered the fact that over twenty years ago he bought a field so his mum could use it as a donkey sanctuary.

This is where we're at, folks.

Typical of the out of touch donkey-hugging liberal elite.
