Our attack is non existent at times, big rethink needed on our attacking structure and definitely on our 5th tackle plays. For me Powell is getting to involved in attack when we get to 4th & 5th plays

After the first 10mins I thought we’d run up a big score, we dominated them in D, attack we were making huge yards and we looked lively.
After that, well it can only described as a horror show. Our defence collapsed and we went from using shoulders to grabbing. Some of those tries that Salford scored were embarrassing. Evalds’ tries should never have been scored. I can’t say I thought any Wigan player had a good game tonight.
I hope this doesn’t sound like an excuse to get stuck into Lam in an agenda driven unload, but it really does re enforce for me why he isn’t the coach to take us forward. We have a team of unbelievable talent but he only seems to get part of that out of them consistently.
It’s not the time for panic stations and we should be wary of an epic over reaction. Ultimately the game went how I thought, tough, dogged and tight. We ended up on the wrong side of the score line tonight. Pick ourselves up and get ready for next week (provided COVID19 doesn’t have a say!!)

I don't often do this but that last 30 minutes from Wigan was an absolute disgrace. I can take losing matches but throwing it away like that is unacceptable. No idea of game management at all. Evalds, in particular, carved us up because people weren't paying attention at marker. Salford just waltzed through the ruck. Why we didn't follow Hankinson's break with a drop goal I have no idea. It was on a plate for us. Not that we should have needed one but that would have killed their momentum following their first try. I am really trying to be patient with Burgess but he was totally ineffectual again. I thought Clark went ok, Bullock started really well but didn't sustain it and way too much was being asked of Smithies, Havard and Byrne. I could go on but I can't be bothered to waste any more time thinking about it.
