If I'm right, I believe we've only had 5 first team players ever present in the first five games. Shaul, Griffin, Sneyd, Taylor and Sao. You could count Connor too, but he missed half a game today. I think Lane as been ever present too, but not sure he'd make our best 17 if all fit.

It's not that easy to be producing your best stuff week to week, when you have heavy disruption to the continuity of your team like that. It just so happened we got these disruptions during a tough run of games. That's just the way it goes sometimes.

The main thing now is to try and pick ourselves back up after a tough to take defeat, and we have to do it quick, by Friday, because Wakefield won't be feeling sorry for us

Another failure of a season and fans walking away would be much more expensive.

Apathy is the best word to describe it. I can't even be bothered to have a rant about it. We need a change just to get a bit of excitement around the club again.

Sadly I just can't see anything happening any time soon. We may well beat Warrington next week, but frankly I don't care.

I think we have Wakefield next week, and I think we may (again) struggle against them

Exactly the same as we said today. He looked a decent player again today.

Its true that injuries and suspensions have played their part, but we have chosen to go with a larger squad which should help lessen the impact.

At clubs on a lower budget such as Wakefield if a big name player gets injured they are down to youth players, not someone like Lane who has played 35 times across 3 seasons now. The problem we have is that this group of 'squad players' dont make enough impact. Lane wasnt bad today, but never changes a game either.

You then have the question of if we didnt have so many squad players could we invest in 1 or 2 top class players instead. Theres pros and cons with both approaches when it comes to squad size.

It's been widely reported, seems everyone else is aware of this.

This always gets brought up yet we have nearly 9k pass holders after 2 average seasons.

I don’t think it matters what the fans think to an extent.
AP lost 300K last year, and has budgeted for a £300K loss for this year.
He hasn’t done that to finish 6th or 7th.
This year is make or break for sure. We’ll either be pushing for the Grand Final or searching for a new coach.

Fair enough but those players got us into a commanding lead today, threw it away, managed to get us ahead again only to mess it up. Symptomatic of the last 7 years

I dont beleive thousands will walk away, but theres clearly a good 4-5k who are 'interested' in the club and will go to the big games like the derby but not 'standard' home games. We need more of these fans to be passholders if we ever want to become a consistent top team and to not have Pearson funding losses.

For a few years now youve been more likely to see a loss than a win at the KCOM, and often the games have been atmosphereless and dull. Today was an interesting game in fairness, but there isnt a great vibe in the stands again.
