Quote Jo Jumbuck="Jo Jumbuck"Mr Davy may well walk away at some point for one reason or another, but it won,t be because we get relegated. He is first and foremost a business man and just what the hell do you think would happen to the Giants share of the stadium if there is no rugby being played there.
Relegation would probably be the best thing that could happen , It would seem to be the best or only chance for us to get rid of all the dead wood that we have in the club both on and off the field, The alternative is to scrape through again and be exactly in the same position as we have been for the last five seasons, purely making up the numbers in Super league and starting off the season in the same old style with half. the team crocked and half the salary cap sat in the stand for one reason or another.
If ever a club needed a complete fresh start from top to bottom it is the Giants.whether or not we will ever get one I don't know but it wont happen while we keep bumping along the bottom of S league year after dreary year signing big name players who turn out to be duds, and others who can't get fit enough to play half a season.
Bring on relegation i say, It's long overdue and is sure to be better that what we get dished up now'"
I think we have a good few years coming if we Leo hold of the academy lads
