… I don't think it's as easy as some people think to get out of the army. It's up to the them to allow you to leave, based on lots of factors. If he was the only soldier in the army who could map read, then it's unlikely they'd let him go. If they'd spent a fortune on his particular training, the same applies.

The MoD love a bit of PR and a lad from Fiji making it to pro athlete will suck up a lot more youngsters than him frying chips in a tent somewhere. Hopefully a deal that lets us keep him most of the regular season is in place.
