We need serious recruitment and the club have seemingly made an offer to Hadley that they think he is worth. Hadley and his agent as is their right may feel he can get better elsewhere, if thats the case then good luck to him and no one can or will blame him if he signs elswhere.
I think he's worth a deal but then again we can't keep everyone whether home grown or not, its not about his ability just similar to Green for me as in has the ability but just not on the field enough so the club may reflect that in any deal.
I think if you read back on here , quite a few want rid of him on ability only . And regards the salary cap , I reckon we’ll be getting rid of enough players , so will have plenty of spare cap without getting rid of Hadley too . I agree about not renewing the deals for the overseas players , but Hadley is the least of our worries . And the last thing we need is having 8,9, 10 new players next season .

Depends on what other clubs value him, Wakey and Rovers might value him higher and be willing to offer him 20k more, whilst we see him as a squad player. Probably have players like Lane on half his salary. Plus misses a few games with injuries, we need to start getting better value from our players.

Absolutely agree with the above. There is obviously some value in loyalty, good attitude and role-model and leadership qualities (and not just from the named 'leaders'), as well as doing the right thing, but we have to be careful we don't stray into sentiment.

Sentiment was when we extended the contracts of Washbrook,Minichello and possibly Sika Manu. Dean Hadley is a very underrated player by some fans. He is a naturally fit player with great defence and has suffered from his ability to be a utility player rather than given a run in his best position in the second row. Dont get this injury prone comments. He is a forward who tackles hard and anyone in his position will get injured at some time. Well worth extending his contract even if it means a pay rise
