When you build a big squad like Hull have in order to run a reserves it may well be that some players are outside of the Cap and unable to play first team rugby. I can understand Hull getting denied dispensation to sign a replacement for Dawson but surely common sence should prevail and you be able to select players currently outside of the Cap up to the value of his contract. On his podcast a few weeks back Craig Harrison speculated that Dawsons contract was circa £80k. You could promote a few young lads with that.
The top and bottom of it is that clubs who invest in a Reserves like Hull have should get some additional Cap space.
Isn’t it just the highest-paid 25 players who count on the cap?
Might look it up.

More than two days. The reserve fixture was only posted today on Hull Fc website
The club must have arranged these fixtures before today so why cant they announce it when it was arranged either in the HDM and the website giving interested fans more time to arrange their time. Thats what al283 is complaining about.I can see his point.

How do you know that all the fixtures had been confirmed before today?
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Makes me wonder if Hull have decided to take a different route. Maybe see some of your fringe players leave or become part time and loaned out. Perhaps even look to get some game time with local Conference sides. (No idea if that's possible)
Rumours are that this will be happening, I think they can dual reg 6 but use 3
