Hull arent too far off really, pretty solid in defence, made good yards, just that bit of flair missing which you should have back next week. All players make mistakes but its how teams react to them that matters, Sneyds last kick option was wrong but you should have held out. I thought it was a good hard game for a first proper run out. We had 6 on debut so despite what a few FC fans think we may well improve a bit too.
We defo had Paea's best years too, gone downhill since leaving us.

Dawson was ok last night and steady at best , but after watching that most teams will just target him all game with the high ball and will end up in scoring opportunities. He just doesn’t look confident in taking them and left a couple bounce which you can’t do . We went ok last night , but it proved how wrong we were not to improve our squad . Effort was there just lacked quality in certain positions and nothing new was shown to the past few seasons to trouble teams . We went wide far to early every set in the second half , with no runners coming back inside , the ball just ends up with the wingers who have no space to work with . A new winger prop and back row was needed to freshen things up plus to add more quality .

Not bitter at all. I have no expectations this season and expect us to lose more games than we win. The game was a better spectacle than any of last years derbies due to the new rules but skill levels on both sides were poor. If you want to convince yourself otherwise go knock yourself out
Jake, i feel so sorry for you its heartbreaking, iam filling up as I write this post. You will be fine when kelly and connor return.

Only change for me would be Connor at 6 and Washy on the bench with with Lane or Thompson missing out
I thought washbrook played really well considering hes not a half back, and thought taylor was poor by his high standards, paea and minichello invisible.

agree about paea, taylor played ok mini looking his age, washy did well but we missed a Kelly or connor, fair play to rovers who kept going to the end, garbett was very good and drinkwater looks the part, imo a draw would have been a fair result,

Dont have a problem going wide early, just how we execute it, so frustrating, we go back 20 metres to make 10, so slow , no one running on to the ball, or dummy runners, I can't believe season after season , training session after training session we look no better at passing the ball. 2 average teams last night , we lots of effort, cant argue with the result , and was pleased with Hulls effort, hopefully get some bodies back and get our attack looking more slick

They’ll Make a difference I agree , but it’s a couple of quality forwards that we are missing to be challenging again . Our pack can’t competee with the top teams I don’t think . We haven’t replaced watts and Ellis , replace them with similar type players and we’d look a lot better . All we’ve done is replace them with youth , but it’s quality we need .

No we won't. Squad is 6th to 8th place. We don't have enough size or mobility in the front row and our back row is a shadow of what it was 2 years ago. 2019 is a meh year for me but with most of the squad ooc it's an opportunity to make some positive changes for next yeah
