Darnell look sharp from the back, aside from some early nerves under high kicks

Gerry, well what a player.

Turner was also very good, just not goal kicking

Jake Wardle was excellent

Innes Senior also had a good game

Gaskell was imperious, his kicking game was brilliant. Brough who?

Frawley took some time to get into the game, but once he did was bossing the game. Probably needs another run out.

Seb. Why the #### were were we trying to get rid of him? Bloody immense today, and big minutes from him.

AOB solid, didn't have to do much

Matagi was very solid too.

Murphy was a bit quiet I think.

Mellor was very good

Bruno also looked sharp at 13

Too many subs to do but they all did their part. English and Roberts ran and hit hard. Farrell is going to have a bright future.

Bulls will go well in the Championship I think, but the Giants are looking to be a top 4 SL side and today was a very early tick in that box

farrell has supposed to have had a bright future for about the past 5 years!! still dont think he will make sl only thing he has going for him is the goal kicking

How old is Farrell?

I thought he went well today, for his short stint.

clough, taai, uate, cudjoe were still missing , why walne wasnt playing i dont know.

gaskell the star of the show today, you see with brough not around you will see gaskell flourish, hes a confidence player and when on form top class. he has had so much stick from fans over past few years.

ikahihifo was also a standout... once again showed why we would be stupid to let him go!!!!! only player who can actually break a tackle and offload.

frawley showed a few good glimpses, hes a ball running half and can see him making clean breaks this season.

one area of concern was the goal kicking and it seems we still havent figured out who will kick the goals... you would have thought someone would have been training for the past 3 months non stop kicking goals  we had turner then mcintosh then gaskell then russell then farrell !!
Was supposed to be Wardle but his groin was tight so didn’t kick today

for me id like gaskell do the kicking.

I think the biggest issue for Farrell is his size. (Or lack of)
He looked sharp today- I thought he had a better game passing wise than frawley.

the future's bright the future's claret and gold

Frawley made 2 wayward passes early in the game, after that he grew into it and did a good job running the show

Id say we had 4 possibly 5 players missing who would get in our starting 17

Leroy Cudjoe
Ukuama Taai
Akuila Uate
Paul Clough
Joe Wardle

Other first team players who didnt feature include Dale Ferguson, Adam Walne, Colton Roche & Daniel Smith. Although id imagine we are looking to loan a couple of those out.

Ferguson, Wardle, Smith and Holmes missing too. Good stuff. Hope we can add Ross as well
