You are kidding- we arent shut of Crabtree! Faiumu was also moved into our coaching team, but decided to go back home.
Hinchcliffe has achieved more in the sport than most players who play for our club- so why shouldnt he be respected for it when he retired.
Hinchcliffe also turned up to watch the majority of the u19 games, he took an interest in Our juniors which is more than many others do!
The year he arrived the club started a mentoring programme and assigned each first teamer to members of the academy. Hinchy took that role seriously (unlike certain others one of whom sone on here claim would make a good coach).

yep nothing wrong with the send off for hinchy...

just dont think others that have left got the same treatment as him and they gave longer service and deserved better , dont see why hinchy got the big send off and they didnt, set a precedence now

Hinchy”s “send off” consisted of him leading out the team and a bit of a chat in the final game. Nothing really big.
Pretty much the same as fuey,
Eorl announced his retirement after the end of the season, and Robbo was prior to the start of the next, and as I recall both were given a “send off”at a later date by being introduced to the crowd and a speech etc. Both were give. Testimonials.
What exactly were you expecting?

hope cudjoe and mcgillvary get a decent send off when they go, same as hinchy did...

Social media galore is the order of the day now though- that’s why!

Crabtree probably spends more time at the club now than he did during his player career! lol
