I heard Billy Bragg speak with his usual eloquence about the resurgence of live music the other day, and it really resonated - basically, there is a deep human need for communion and shared experience, and a gig is a rare opportunity to connect with a musician who speaks to you, in the company of a room/hall/field full of people who feel the same way. I love it, and it never matters to me that I'm one of the oldest people in the room - I go with my daughter quite often, and we always have a whale of a time - especially since I've brainwashed her from a young age into liking actual real music, where people play instruments and sing with their own voice.
And before we're reprimanded, that post is so very true. ADMIN. You have my permission to lock this thread.
Pretty much agree there Jinger, and also NE Wildcat.
Seen a few bands over the past 12 months, most of which have done 30 years plus, also taken my youngest to one, plus another, of a more current band, and she enjoyed the older act much more than the more recent one, and that is despite the fact that they are supposedly her favourite. Also these older bands have such a vast back catalogue, that you could go to several concerts, and hear a different set list every time.

Youre clearly obsessed with AUP's, and letting us all know of your grievence - we get it your a troll who's been locked out umpteen times before. Probably under umpteen different names and you can't wait for it to happen again so you can come back with another user name and show us just how clever you.

Some of what you said is correct, don't see why that matters. I wouldn't call myself a troll on this account because I've been posting within the AUP's? To be totally honest this comment is continuing with the "off topic" trend. If you'd like to discuss your views further just PM me.
By the way:-
