This is absolutely spot on. The players inside Briscoe are offering no help at all and think when a kick is in the air think it's time for a breather. Yes ultimately it's Briscoe's responsibility to catch the ball but do we ever put kickers under pressure? Do we ever protect the catcher so he gets a clean catch at it? Week in and week out this is happening and costing us points and nothing is ever done.
Briscoe will rightly take stick for his performance and his lack of confidence means he has to be left out for a while now but other players have to do their jobs too.
Fair play to Hull for being relentless in executing a plan we all knew was coming by the way. Think that's called coaching.
