That's because the investment to install their own lines makes coming into Hull non viable and KCOM know this so charge the other companies an extortionate amount to use KCOM lines and we are back to square one again making non viable for any company outside to come in and compete. Quite honestly it's a joke in this day and age that OFCOM still havent sorted this. Hull being the only place stuck in the dark ages with terrible telecoms/broadband service in the whole of the UK
