The comparison with Wenger is overwhelming. Smith seems to run the club and is beyond question. I'm staggered by the blasé attitude by some people on here to the fact we're about to fall out of the highest level of RL for the first time in the club's history.

As for the "well who do we replace them with? - I don't know is the honest answer but that's what your have senior management for - any decent business has succession planning. And Agar isn't that before anyone pipes up. But it couldn't get any worse could it? Seriously - we're heading out of top flight rugby league - oh no just think where we'd be without Tony.

It's time to wake up - we're not the same club that left Wilderspool - we're a well resourced top club which averages over 10k per home game. We shouldn't be accepting this mediocrity and poor performance. We haven't won a major trophy in 5 years. With the amount of money available to him - we should have won the treble last year.

Once Sandow went, which was basically the moment he left the pitch at Wigan, we didn't really play that well or have any coherence in attack. What we're seeing this year is a continuation of that (we were dire in the GF) in a league where the other teams have improved.

It's a shame this is happening as it's starting to sour the great times and memories he's delivered - certainly the best coach of my lifetime and the rugby we played in 2011/12 was the best I've ever seen. But it's over Tony - he's gone stale, the whole set up is complacent and without leadership. Same as off the field - where we've gone from having a top sports administrator in charge to Karl Fitzpatrick who has zero business experience. There's something amiss and far more to RD's departure than met the eye I thought.

The worse case from here.. Wigan knock us out of the cup which is very likely, and we go into the middle 8's also very likely !!

Does Moran wait until these to things happen, playing at home against Toulouse in front of 3000 and the knock on effect of a huge drop off in season ticket holders for next year ??
Simons dream is in danger of turning sour very quickly if he doesn't act now.

Alan Partridge: Oh yeah, people go on about Titanic, Titanic... Let me tell you something about the Titanic, people forget, people forget that on the Titanic's maiden voyage there were over 1000 miles of uneventful, very pleasurable cruising before it hit the iceberg

Thanks for the first thousand miles Tony.

I suspect the Wigan game could be Tony's last stand but it'll be too late for the top 8 by then.

I also wonder whether it's more Stuart than Simon running the club currently....

Perhaps the ultimate scenario is Wire eventually merge with Crosfields & play in front of a few hundred at Hood Lane while the HJ becomes a development of prestigious town houses.

He's already got in his excuses for the Hudds match accord to Sky Sports saying the rfl should not have rearranged their match giving them an unfair advantage. He'd make a great politician amount of bilge he spouts.

Thing is he has a point but in years gone by he wouldve either said nowt or just accepted it and got on with the job. He's clearly losing it and this will be music to huddersfields ears. We're almost accepting defeat a week in advance, it's getting a bit pitiful.

There is a good point from this, if we lose on sunday we won't have to listen to his bull as he as already given it to us.

Like all "poor" modern day sportsmen ,the management & playing staff could do with a dose of life in the game of 20 years ago when 5 or 6 days a week was worked in addition to playing & payment depended on the result.

There's been a lot of talk about the amount of money available to Warrington - are we far and away the richest club in rugby league or is this just an exaggeration?

I would have guessed our budget is similar to Leeds, Wigan and so on.

Wouldn't be surprised if its bigger than Cas, Salford, Wakefield so fair play to them for doing well.

But where has all this money that we have come from? We don't get the biggest attendances, do we have the best sponsorship or corporate investment? Are there any figures out there that show who is the richest club in rugby league?
