I must admit it surprised me but he was in the training squad. I think you can make a decent case that Sneyd and Myler have been better this season and even retreads like Smith, Maguire and Chase haven't been worse.
Still I'm happy that Sneyd wasn't considered, rather he played against Widnes than head off for a pointless game that I'm not at all confident England will win.
