If Sale were one of the clubs that made an offer for Solomona (whilst he was still at Cas) then surely they established a precedent by putting forward a compensation offer (transfer fee) to be followed by a player contract. Can't see how this won't be a consideration as it was surely a motivational driver in the players decision to later walk out on his RL contract.

By all accounts we (Tigers) had 3 offers for DS - all turned down. Sale, Gloucester and Warrington although none have been made official by the club.

Some may say that we have a chip on our shoulders but, it didn't get there by itself !
Well they have the same Establishment in France and the SBW case went the way of the Bulldogs. Also though Solomona's tried it on with the retirement bull, we've got previous Precedents set of fees between the Codes. Like I said you never know though.

Did it? I maybe misremembering things but I thought SBW paid Canterbury his transfer/release fee from his own pocket, well he borrowed the 750,000 from mundine.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

I couldn't remember how it all went down and didn't pay much attention after he left tbh. I got that info from Wiki. Where it says-
Quote:Williams was eighteen months into a five-year contract with the Bulldogs, and the dispute was only resolved when Toulon paid a transfer fee of around £300,000 (A$750,000)

My understanding is that Castleford will claim a financial loss of £400k. This is made up of the potential loss of transfer fee (based on the offers received), the additional wage paid to Solomona during 2015 on the basis of the 'extended' contract which he did not fulfil and the loss of direct player sponsorship. I think Cas are pushing the limit, but that's what happens in cases such as this.

But as you say excellent work by them put him in positions where he still needed to finish and finish he did, however pardn the expression yawnion is a different ball game, i can see charnley's 'game' adapting better than denny's.
To score a try you have to be given the ball. That doesn't happen for a RU winger very often in a game as Charnley is finding out. How many has he got so far? I reckon they will both be back in RL within a couple of seasons.
