He'll certainly give us some creativity, not had that level since Craig Hall left the club (who showed us in the last Wakey game he's still got loads to offer and will go well in Toronto)
I said a long while back that we'd need to shift a big name to make a named signing and I was right, just wish the club would stop being so cloak and daggers even deceitful about it.
We will make some signings said Pearson, but not for a second did he hint that we'd have to shift one of our biggest stars to make it happen. Certainly without Pritchard going the Kelly deal was never happening, one wonders then if the Pritchard deal was on the cards all along (to help the doggies out of their SC situation) or at best a back up plan because under the live cap rules there's no way we could have signed Kelly or anyone else of note despite all the loanees going out and Ellis's reduced wage.
I'm glad we've got Kelly, IF he can knuckle down and show us what we know he has in the locker it'll improve us a heck of a lot, just wish the club would cut the BS and just say it straight.

Surely you can understand why the club keeps things like this quiet, until the deal is done, do you really expect Pearson to give the fans every bit of detail? Cloak and Dagger, you are such a drama queen.

Bumpy is just nostalgic for the Bomber, Uncle Peter and their favourie agent days, when blokes down the pub knew who we were signing, whilst our owner got dry-bummed by them.

As for comparing Craig Hall to Kelly
Who was comparing, you don't read so well huh... But go on who has being as creative in a hull shirt since? CH showed more creativity in that one game in the S8s than we pretty much did all season.

The master of the hyperbole.
Hall had two try assists in that game and unless you've forgotten we beat them anyway. No one has made as many try assists in a Hull shirt since I grant you but we've only played twice since then. Kirk Yeaman had two try assists in the Widnes Super 8s game though.

Bumpy, you make some valid points, but you cannot seriously say the club have been cloak and dagger. If you want a club which airs its dirty laundry in public then look at the clowns down poorhouse lane. Is it just possible that the signing of Kelly was because Pritchard said he was leaving, rather then Hull having to shift him on?
Anyway, Kelly I thing is an inspired signing and will add a dimension that we didn't have. For me it puts a question mark over Carlos. Not having a dig at the lad, but we have recruited in the centre and at 6. Should a quota player be a fringe player?
On a side note, the more I see the new shirt, the more I like it.
No matter who they are, whilst there's a black 'n' white shirt on their back, a player gets my backing.
As many have said on here, on his day Kelly is dynamite, unplayable etc.... I just hope those off days he had were because of other things that were going on at the time that Grudgell and co never dealt with, hopefully he'll get the right backing and support from Radders and co.
I'm hoping too that because this could be his last chance to restart his career, that he knuckles down and gives his all to the cause. If he doesn't then hopefully Radders will show him the door, no messing.
For me it's a gamble, but I must say that already he looks a lot fitter and leaner than he did all last season (and thank Foook he's cut his barnet - he looks a lot smarter now!!!)
Welcome Albie! (Just please don't mess up!!!)
PS. The new shirts growing on me too!
PPS. It's good to be back and good to see some of the old familiar names on here!

Most of the halfs we have had last few e season, let's look at some stats,
Last season Hall had 11 try assists, Sneyd and Houghton had much more
In 2015 Hall had 5 (yes that's 5 try assists), this was beaten by numerous Hull players.
Hall is a poor mans Jordan Turner (who was more creative), it's a very strange comment to make saying Hall is our the most creative player in the last 7/8 years, he wouldn't even be in the top 10.
