With Dean,HTW and Lancaster moving on anyone see any of the younger players breaking through into the first team squad next season?

No, we have a couple of forwards but unless we get plenty of injuries I can't see them getting a look in. Worryingly few halves and outside backs looking likely to make the grade

We haven't had a breakthrough player gain a regular spot since Shaul, at the back end of 2013. Abdul is the only player since Radford took charge to get more than a couple of interchange games that came through the ranks
Signing other teams youngsters is rather worrying IMO, it undermines and highlights the youth system and on the face of it lack of progress players are making. It also shows the coach has no faith even when his players were knackered he couldn't trust to his younger squad players at the back end.
There's a very good reason Wigan managed to get to the GF with a bunch of kids playing most of the season

Or the fact our young kids that are of any good are 16-19 years of age, do you want them to play at this age & opposing teams to rip them apart? You can't wait to have digs towards the club can you? I have to admit, it's a slight worry, particularly the three lads mentioned being let go, let's hope next year sees the likes of Abdul,Matonga, Logan and Turgut get more game time.

Abdul is the big one for me, let him play a few games at loose goes rd (rotating with Washy) and I think we will see what a good player he is.

Matonga could make appearance next year, turgut maybe ,but its Abdul for me who am hopeful makes the step up,

Let's not forget that Jack Logan was given a number 4 jersey and was one of many players at the start of the season that wasn't on the best of form but the only one dropped (and partly for injury). He then picked up a season ending injury. He is very much going to be in the fold next year.

Has Abdull actually got a contract yet?
